Hello, nice to meet you.
Nestled in the heart of the historic market town of Kelso is a Podiatry clinic that’s proud to be different. A clinic that strives to be amongst the best and offer you the highest standards of foot, ankle and lower limb care.
The Clinic
Established in February 2018, our practice has completely exceeded all our expectations. We have always strove to deliver excellence in our care of people with foot, ankle and lower limb problems across the Borders, challenging the belief that the most advanced forms of Podiatry practice are only for the big city and not achievable in a rural community. The reception we have experienced and the support given by the public and other health professionals has been gratifying beyond words.
Now 6 years in business, we’ve achieved many Podiatry firsts for the Scottish Borders such as multiple business awards, technological advances (diagnostic ultrasound, in-house custom orthoses, shockwave therapy & AxIT strength testing) and the first and only Royal College of Podiatry accredited practice. We are a young but ambitious team, Borders born and bred, here to help you with your foot, ankle and lower limb problems and back to the activity you love.
Where we have been so far…
Grand Opening of Tweed Podiatry
February 2018
The grand opening of Tweed Podiatry represented for us the start of our quest to build the Scottish Borders' leading foot and ankle clinic. A purpose-designed practice with a friendly atmosphere, the most high-end equipment and run by an expert team dedicated to delivering innovative services never before seen in the Scottish Borders.
The Consumer’s Award - Scottish Borders
September 2018
We were honoured to be nominated and finalised for the Scottish Borders business awards where we were announced as the winner of the consumer’s award 2018. It was truly humbling that the judges and members of the public gave us this award in recognition of the impact we have had on the many people who have received our care.
In-House Sidas Custom Foot Orthoses
December 2018
In the tail-end of our opening year, we became the proud owners of the Borders’ first and only in-house custom foot orthoses technology. This allows us the unique ability create medical grade, fully bespoke insoles, moulded to shape and hand-finished by our expert team on the same day as your consultation. These devices are incredibly helpful in the treatment of numerous foot and ankle problems.
Best Health and Wellbeing Business
September 2019
Following the success in our debut year, we received a further nomination for the Scottish Business Awards in year two. On this occasion being finalised and becoming the winners of the Best Health and Wellbeing Business for the entirety of the Scottish Borders. An achievement we are immensely proud of.
Podiatrist of the Year - Scottish Borders
May 2020
We were blown away in summer 2020 to be announced in the GHP Healthcare and Pharma awards as Podiatrist of the Year for the Scottish Borders. In the wake of COVID-19 lockdown and the immense challenges we had to overcome, this accolade represented more than can be easily put into words.
In-House Diagnostic Ultrasound
June 2020
We were beyond thrilled to become the first private Podiatry clinic in Scotland to offer a CASE-accredited diagnostic ultrasound service. It allows on-the-spot look inside your feet that both the Podiatrist and you can see in real-time. To say this has transformed the way we practice would be an understatement!
Royal College of Podiatry Accreditation
December 2020
Tweed Podiatry is the first and only Royal College of Podiatry accredited practice in the Scottish Borders. A mark of our tireless commitment to setting the highest standards in every facet of what we do. From our treatments to our policies, from our health and safety to our sterilisation procedures.
Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy
July 2022
In another first for Podiatry in the Scottish Borders, our practice now offers Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT). This revolutionary treatment is clinically proven to accelerate the healing of various musculoskeletal conditions and is recommended by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE).

From there her career has transitioned to various high-level private practice settings.
In the spring of 2024, Alice joined the team at Tweed Podiatry, bringing with her a wealth of experience in routine foot care, dermatology and patient education. She is our clinic’s specialist in skin disorders and has a constantly evolving skillset in the use of the dermatoscope (a high-powered magnifier for identifying skin problems that can’t be seen with the naked eye). Like our other Podiatrists, she is a member of the Royal College of Podiatry and in addition to this is a member of the The Primary Care Dermatology Society.
In her spare time she enjoys an active outdoor lifestyle including horse riding, walking her dog, cycling and kayaking.
